JOB ROLE |
The Facilities Operations Team is responsible for assisting the Building Facilities Lead in ensuring the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the church campus. This role includes performing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with the setup and teardown of rooms for church-wide events, and ensuring the overall safety and security of the building. The crew will interact with staff, respond to facility-related requests, and support various operational needs of the church facility. |

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Facility Maintenance and Operations
- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning HVAC vents, checking and replacing air filters, and ensuring general cleanliness of the facility.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties, including trash removal (both interior and exterior), sweeping, mopping, and organizing spaces.
- Inspect and monitor the condition of building equipment, furniture, and fixtures to ensure they are safe and in good working condition.
- Repair or assemble furniture, equipment, and other items as needed, or notify the Facilities Lead when professional repairs are required.
- Event Setup and Teardown
- Assist with the setup and teardown of rooms and spaces for church-wide events, services, and meetings, including arranging furniture, AV equipment, and other supplies as requested by staff.
- Ensure rooms and spaces are ready for use on time and in accordance with event specifications.
- Building Security and Safety
- Assist with ensuring the building is secure at all times based on established access schedules, including opening and closing the facility.
- Report any safety hazards, malfunctions, or areas of concern to the Facilities Lead for immediate attention.
- Staff and Congregant Support
- Provide support to church staff by responding promptly to facility-related requests and addressing any issues that arise during events or services.
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities Lead and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and fulfillment of tasks.
- General Facility Inspection and Cleanliness
- Regularly inspect all areas of the building, including bathrooms, hallways, meeting rooms, and common areas, to ensure they are tidy, safe, and well-maintained.
- Ensure that trash is removed regularly, and facilities are always presentable to staff, congregants, and guests.
- Other Duties
- Assist with special projects or tasks as requested by the Facilities Lead, including seasonal preparation, landscaping, or deep cleaning.
- Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and foster a team-oriented work environment.
- Assist with keeping linens clean and organized.
- Assist with ensuring onsite storage is maintained and is a functioning space.
