Job Overview:
We are looking for an organized, proactive, and knowledgeable Production Manager to join our church staff. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring that every service, event, and project runs smoothly from a technical standpoint. The Production Manager will manage and schedule production teams, equip and care for servant leaders (volunteers), maintain production processes, and ensure all technical equipment is in good working order. A deep understanding of production gear, audio/video systems, live streaming, and networks is essential, as is the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly in a live environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management & Scheduling:
- Coordinate weekly production schedules to ensure all roles are filled with trained and prepared servant leaders (volunteers).
- Recruit, train, and develop servant leaders to serve in various production areas including audio, video, lighting, and live streaming.
- Ensure each servant leader is equipped and supported, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and encouragement to production servant leaders to ensure excellence in every service and event.
- Production Processes & Workflow:
- Develop and maintain production workflows and processes to ensure smooth operations during weekly services and special events.
- Ensure all production teams (audio, video, lighting, graphics, etc.) follow consistent protocols for setup, execution, and shut-down.
- Oversee production rehearsals, ensuring all technical elements are rehearsed and ready for Sunday services or special events.
- Technical Knowledge & Troubleshooting:
- Ensure familiarity with and provide troubleshooting for all production equipment, including audio, video, lighting, and streaming systems.
- Oversee Dante and other key production technologies to ensure proper functionality and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Have a deep understanding of how our live streaming systems work and be able to resolve technical issues on the spot, ensuring high-quality streaming for all services and events.
- Maintain familiarity with church networks and ensure that all systems are integrated and functioning correctly.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the inventory of all production equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained, accounted for, and updated as necessary.
- Conduct regular checks on production gear to ensure it is in working order, and manage repairs or replacements as needed.
- Track equipment usage and order new supplies or gear when required.
- Software & System Management:
- Ensure proficiency in key production software, including Resolume, ProPresenter, Dante, and other production softwares, to manage live visuals, audio routing, and video playback.
- Manage production teams on Planning Center, ensuring all servant leaders are aware of schedules, tasks, and service needs.
- Servant Leader & Volunteer Care:
- Cultivate a positive, encouraging, and Christ-centered environment for servant leaders, ensuring they feel valued and equipped for service.
- Foster communication between production teams, ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding weekly services and special events.
- Provide leadership and support to servant leaders, helping them grow in their roles and build community within the production ministry.
- Event Preparation & Execution:
- Ensure all technical elements are in place for special events, conferences, and services, including rehearsals, setup, and live production.
- Able to lead pre-service meetings with production teams to review tasks, assignments, and any special needs for the upcoming service or event.
- Be present during events to monitor all technical aspects and provide real-time solutions to any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and streaming technologies, including Dante, Resolume, ProPresenter, Script Viewer, and other production software.
- Proficiency in live streaming systems and the ability to troubleshoot in real-time.
- Experience with networking and understanding of how to troubleshoot common network issues in a production setting.
- Previous experience in managing teams, scheduling volunteers, and leading servant leaders in a church or similar environment.
- Knowledge of Planning Center or ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software tools.
- Experience with production gear management, including inventory tracking, equipment maintenance, and replacement processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure during live events.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable with standing, walking, and moving for extended periods during live events and rehearsals
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage technical issues in real-time during live services
