“CONNIE BURTON LOST THE LOVE OF HER LIFE IN OCTOBER OF 2015. WHAT AN ALL-CONSUMING GRIEF.”

She determined in her heart, though, to prove to herself and the world that she could survive, that she could make it on her own.

Her sadness, coupled with crippling chronic pain and neuropathy, literally brought her to the floor. She suffered a devastating fall, and though she had tried so hard to prove to herself she could make it on her own, God’s desire was not to leave her alone, but to place her in family. After having said no, time after time, she finally said yes when her son, Brian, called and said, “Mom, you’re coming home to live with us.” She was shocked by her own response but her family wasted no time. Bruised, stitched, and humbled by her circumstances, Connie made the move from Oklahoma to Texas and joined the Keystone family. What a blessing she is to us!

Now, set free from isolation and sadness, Connie loves on the babies at Keystone during the weekend, joined a quilting group, a Bible study, and goes to CG every week!

After sharing her story on stage at Keystone, God brought forth some of the healing that she’s been praying for, and now lives her life unlocked and pain-free!
