Job Overview

The NOW Gen Creative Designer supports the creative execution of Kids, Students, and Young Adults ministries through graphic design, video production, and content creation. This role helps bring ministry vision to life by creating engaging visual content that reaches the next generation and supports ministry initiatives across digital, social, print, and live environments.

The ideal candidate is creative, teachable, relational, and eager to grow. They may be a recent graduate, self-taught creative, or someone early in their creative career with a strong eye for design and storytelling. We are looking for someone with a passion for ministry, a willingness to learn, and a heart for serving alongside ministry leaders and volunteers.

This position is expected to be present during Tuesday and Wednesday night programming, serving as the primary video support for NOW Gen ministries and helping capture and create content that tells the story of what God is doing in the lives of students, young adults, and kids.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Design promotional materials, event graphics, sermon series artwork, social media assets, and ministry communications for Kids, Students, and Young Adults.
  • Create graphics for digital, print, environmental, and weekend ministry experiences.
  • Execute creative concepts that align with Keystone Church’s visual standards and ministry goals.
  • Support the Communications Team in maintaining a high level of creative excellence across NOW Gen ministries.

Video Production & Content Creation

  • Serve as the primary video support during Tuesday and Wednesday night ministry programming.
  • Capture and edit speaking clips, testimonies, talking-head videos, social media content, event recaps, and ministry stories.
  • Produce video content that helps ministries celebrate life change, promote events, and engage their audiences.
  • Organize and maintain video files, footage, and project assets.
  • Assist with content capture at key ministry events throughout the year.

Ministry & Volunteer Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with ministry staff, Servant Leaders, and volunteers.
  • Work alongside volunteers during ministry environments and special events.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and positively with leaders across Kids, Students, and Young Adults ministries.
  • Represent the Communications Team with humility, flexibility, and a servant-hearted attitude.
  • Help create an environment where volunteers feel valued, equipped, and supported.

Project Management

  • Manage assigned projects from concept through completion.
  • Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to understand communication goals and creative needs.
  • Stay organized and proactive in planning upcoming projects and deliverables.

Growth & Development

  • Receive feedback with a positive and teachable attitude.
  • Continue developing skills in design, video production, storytelling, and creative technology.
  • Stay aware of creative trends and opportunities that help reach the next generation.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork within the Communications Team.

Must-Haves

  • A portfolio demonstrating creativity, visual communication skills, and/or video storytelling ability.
  • Experience creating graphic design, video, photography, social media content, or other creative work through school, freelance work, internships, ministry involvement, personal projects, or professional experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with teams, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A teachable spirit and desire to continually grow creatively and professionally.
  • Passion for the mission of the local church and reaching the next generation.
  • Availability to attend and support Tuesday and Wednesday evening ministry programming.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
  • Photography, videography, or motion graphics experience.
  • Experience serving in a church, ministry, nonprofit, or youth-focused environment.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and content trends.
  • Experience working with volunteer teams.
  • Basic knowledge of branding, typography, and visual storytelling.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with strong creative potential, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn. The right candidate may still be developing their skills in Adobe Creative Suite, video production, or design, but demonstrates initiative, creativity, reliability, and a commitment to excellence.

We value character, coachability, collaboration, and a passion for ministry just as much as creative ability. If you’re excited to grow, learn, and help tell the stories of what God is doing through the next generation, we’d love to meet you.
